The Culotte Jumpsuit

Culotte Jumpsuit-Belk found here. Shoes: Target found here. Sunglasses: Quay Australia.

Happy belated First day of Spring! The East Coast feels like we rewound and went back to December- it's freezing out. I have slowly but surely been transitioning my closet to include more touches of Spring but the weather isn't making it easy. I love a good jumpsuit, and this culotte one took the cake the moment that I laid eyes on it. I'm obsessed with the ruffle sleeves, and the chicness of the crisp white and navy combo. It's such an easy outfit to take from the boardroom to happy hour. I work in a corporate setting Monday-Friday and have the option of being pretty casual yet fashion forward day to day however I always want to be sure that I am putting my best foot forward and dressing the part. I love that navy is a professional shade without being too bland and boring. I'm so happy I snagged this piece- and, on sale too! I've linked some similar options below. Happy Shopping!

Dark Florals

Floral Dress: Zara- SOLD OUT but similar dress found here. Booties: Alice and Olivia via Marti and Liz Shoes. Bag: Rebecca Minkoff via Nordstrom Rack. Suede Moto Jacket: Jou Jou via Marshalls. Sunglasses: Rayban via Belk found here.

With Spring right around the corner, I have been brainstorming and daydreaming of beautiful Spring/Summer pieces to begin to add to my wardrobe. We are in that weird time of the year here in North Carolina where the days are unusually warm, which leaves you standing in front of your closet with absolutely nothing to wear. Transitioning into Spring can seem daunting and hopeless but I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to be that way if you simply remember 2 things! Layers and patterns/color!

Fun layers and Spring patterns/colors can be your bridge to full-out Spring wardrobe. Layers give you endless options. I love throwing a motto jacket over my shoulders with the option to take it off if I get too warm. A motto jacket is chic in every way and is sure to polish any look you have in your closet. I love playing with patterns and colors! Don't be afraid to embrace florals, because they are here to stay. If you are drawn to more darker shades, then this dress is perfect! I knew I had to have it as soon as I laid eyes on it. I've definitely been getting my fair wear out of these Alice and Olivia camel sock booties that I scored for a steal from Marti and Liz Shoes here in Charlotte. These shoes are killer!!! I would wear them everyday if I could.

Do you find it difficult to transition into Spring? What pieces are your go-to to make the transition?

Garden Party

Floral Bomber: Who What Wear via Target. Olive Green Midi Dress: Who What Wear via Target. Gray Minibag: Marshalls. Polka Dot Ascot Scarf: Who What Wear via Target. Round Sunnies: Francescas. Black Bootie with Metallic Heel: Aldo Shoes.

I'm coming at you this hump day currently snuggled up in bed fighting what seems to be a mixture of a cold/allergies and the up and down temps certainly aren't helping! But, the silver lining of it all is I've spent the whole day watching Bravo and catching up on sleep. Sometimes, all your body needs is a little dose of R&R.

I'm dreaming of warmer days and starting to make my list of Spring must haves. Lots and lots of florals are definitely at the top of my list. Florals scream Spring, and there is just something about this floral bomber and polka dot ascot combo that gives me a French/European vibe- which fun fact about me, my name is actually French and I was also born in Germany as my dad served in the military. I haven't been back since being born overseas and obviously don't remember a whole lot but this outfit would be perfect for having a fancy latte at a little French bakery.

The bomber jacket was a huge trend during the Fall, and continues to remain a statement piece for Spring. It's the perfect, lightweight layer to have in your closet for cold mornings, and warmer evenings.

If you are looking for the way to make a statement this Spring its all about florals and embroidery. It's so boho chic! I can't wait to share with you guys the cutest, floral and embroidered mules I just scored from Belk. What trends are you most excited for, for Spring?

Layers + Loafers

JouJou Suede Moto Jacket: Marshalls. Camel Turtleneck: Marshalls. Light Wash Distressed Denim:Marshalls. Unisa Slip-On Tassel Loafers: Ross Dress for Less. Grey Minibag: Marshalls.
All Photos: Kimberly Greene.
I have been dying to get my hands on the perfect pair of slip on loafers. I've seen them everywhere- fashion magazines, the runways, street style on Insta- you name it! I knew that it was well passed time to finally pull the trigger and buy a pair for myself...of course, within my price range.

I originally had my eyes set on a pair of black slip on Steve Madden loafers. Black just seemed so sleek and chic. However, these neutral Unisa loafers from Ross Dress for Less are just as good for more than half the price you would expect to pay. Shout out to my little sister Danielle who came in the clutch with sending me a picture of these beauties while she was out shopping. I have her to thank for this fabulous find! If you're reading this- thanks Danielle!

These loafers go with everything in my wardrobe, and are the perfect color for the Spring temps that we have been experiencing these past couple of weekends. Not to mention the fact that they were only $25! Such a steal. If yall have been reading and following along for awhile then you know I love finding a good deal.

I styled these slip-ons with a couple of my favorite layering pieces as the temps had cooled down on Sunday when I was shooting. I love this cozy, camel turtleneck from Marshalls, and this suede motto jacket also from Marshalls which is such a great piece!! I went with light-washed denim to balance out my neutral combo. I'm so excited to have these loafers in my Spring shoe rotation. What are some pieces you are dying to get your hands on this Spring? Feel free to share in the comment box below!

Basically Basic

Shoes: Sam Edelman via Belk. Distressed Denim: Belk. Bag: Marshalls. White Tee: Old Navy. Vest: Belk.

Never underestimate the power of a basic white tee, and sticking to neutrals for a casual spring look! My love for minimalistic, neutral tones has grown over the years. This look is simple, chic, and sophisticated all in one. And, major bonus that every piece I'm wearing is under $60. If you're having trouble building basics for your wardrobe, my go-tos are always Old Navy, the Gap, and sometimes even Marshalls to pull together my closet staples. I'm absolutely in love with this khaki, trench style vest from Belk simply because layering is the perfect way to make a smooth transition into this warmer weather. I'm super excited for this glorious weather and the fact that starting Sunday (don't forget to Spring forward!) there will still be a trace of sunlight left when leaving work. It's the little things :) What are some of your favorite closet staples?

So MOD

Shift Dress: Marshalls. Shoes: Sam Edelman via Belk. Crossbody: Marshalls. Sunnies: Old Navy.

The weather has been absolutely glorious in Charlotte these past couple of days. I'm loving every bit of it. Quick, easy and chic are the three words I always keep in mind when shopping for my spring/summer work wardrobe. As much as I wish I was, I'm not a morning person at all so I like be able to think of cute outfits that require minimal effort :) Which is the reason I love the shift dress so much. Super comfortable and classy for work and play. During the summer, I'm always making plans to go out and enjoy the weather after work which is why I am very fond of outfits which make the transition for fun, summer evenings. This look is the perfect combo of mod and chic. What are some of your favorite staple pieces for spring/summer?

Pleated Floral

Nude Caged Booties: Sam Edelman via Belk. Pleated Floral Shift Dress: Target. White Blazer: Forever 21. Gold Watch: Guess

I do believe spring has finally sprung. I better not say that too loud, knowing Charlotte weather-she'll change her mind in the matter of seconds. If you live in the South-you know exactly what I'm talking about. One of the trends I am loving for spring and summer are florals. I'm so glad that this statement stuck around for another season. They are so fun, spunky and classy. I love this floral printed, pleated shift dress I scored at Target a couple of months back. And, because the weather has still been a little on the windy side, I threw on this crisp, white oversized blazer from Forever 21. I'm excited to style this blazer with other cute spring skirts and for an all white look. I love this classic, corporate chic combo that can easily transition to happy hour or date night. What are some of the trends you are getting excited for this spring?
