Self Care + Teeth Whitening at Home with Smile Brilliant

Target Nightgown : here

All Photos Courtesy of Kimberly Greene

I don't think I could stress this enough, but self-care and establishing a consistent beauty/skincare routine is of the utmost importance! Whether its scheduling a massage for yourself after a grueling week of workouts, or browsing the endless aisles of Ulta to find the perfect moisturizer. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself, and your body will thank you for it later! I have always been a huge proponent of trying different skincare and beauty products. When you find products that work, and are of good quality you have to share them!

Which brings me today's post about Smile Brilliant's at home teeth whitening kit.I have used various teeth whitening methods in the past, mostly right before attending a wedding or some other special occasion like prom or a gala. My experiences with store bought whitening strips have not been the best! I have always hated how they easily slip off of your teeth, and your mouth seems like its filled with that gunky, clear whitening fluid which leaves you wondering if it's really even working?

My experience with Smile Brilliant has been completely opposite of that! It's so easy, and very similar to professional teeth whitening methods- there is no slippery strips nor excessive gunk. If you are a coffee/red wine drinker like myself, and are looking for a whitening method to give you fast, consistent results then you need this kit in your life! The kit itself comes with molding so that your whitening retainers are especially made for you and you alone, a custom-fitted whitening trays made from your molds, clear and easy to follow instructions, as well as whitening and desensitizing gels which will last you for a good 1-3 months.

At first thought, making your own teeth molds may sound intimidating but its really not! You combine the 2 putty's and insert them in to the top teeth molding tray and impress, and then do the same with the bottom teeth molding tray. Super easy! You mail off your molds, and get your trays back in a week tops! The custom trays allow for the whitening gels to stay right in place without moving, and really get the job done! You whiten for 1 hour depending on your teeth sensitivity, for at least 3-4 times a week. I saw results after my second go-round. AH-MAZING.

I'm impressed with the amazing customer care as well! Even though it is an at home whitening kit, you are able to speak to representatives who are on hand to answer any and all of  your questions throughout the whole process which feels comforting! It's comforting to know that the employees are just as much invested in your brighter smile just as much as you.

Today is your lucky day, because I'm giving you the chance to win $139 toward a teeth whitening kit of your own set with personalized trays like I've described above, and gels! Trust me when I say that Smile Brilliant is a complete game-changer! Below are the details to enter to win.

Details: One lucky winner will receive a $139 store credit to put towards a Smile Brilliant Kit of their own. The giveaway ends exactly 2 weeks from today and will be announced on my Instagram stories the night of May 10th. Be sure you are following along here. Shoes: Aldo currently ON SALE here. Dress via Target found here. Leather Motto: Old via Forever 21. Beanie: Marshalls similar here, here and here

NORTH CAROOOLINAAAA COME ON AND RAISE UP! *in my best Petey Pablo voice* lol it's Monday and if you haven't heard- the Carolina Panthers are officially on their way to Super Bowl 50!! All of Charlotte was absolute mayhem last night as the Panthers clinched the NFC Championship Title. I'm still on a high and that's probably the only thing getting me through this Monday!

I guess that's enough sports talk, well...for now at least. Let's get to what you really came for. I love everything about this Target marble print scuba drop waist dress. The pastel tones are absolute winter perfection, and the fit is simply to die for. Whoever invented scuba material- I THANK YOU *insert emoji praise hands* I've been obsessed with these Aldo booties that my sister got me for Christmas. What's not to love about a chic, sleek black bootie with a metallic heel? And, ladies their currently on sale for under $100! You definitely need them in your life - trust me on this one :)

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday and #GoPanthers!

Faux Lace & Leather

Hello lovelies!! Hope you all are enjoying your Tuesday. Today, I'm channeling my inner Rachel Zoe. This look is perfect for Saturday or Sunday brunch with the girls! Cause friends who brunch together stay together ha! Brunch has been and always will be one of my favorite past times. Now back to Rachel...I love everything about Rachel Zoe's effortlessly, chic boho style. She most definitely makes my list of fashion icons. And, who says you can't wear maxi skirts in the winter?! I don't know if that's a rule, but if it is I"m totally breaking it. Sorry not sorry! Winterizing a patterned maxi dress or skirt or really any maxi is easily doable! Just throw on a cozy, floppy brimmed hat and leather motto jacket and you are set. Oh so chic, and oh so fab all in one! I had been looking for the perfect, little black shoe to wear this winter for some of my work day looks, and scored these Nine West heels at a huge post Christmas sale going on at Nordstrom Rack. I love the intricate detail of the "lacey" look and the fact that I could probably wear these for the winter and possibly the spring season as well.

More of YOU Mondays: You Don't Have to Try

I stumbled across this video yesterday, and it's probably hands down, one of the most moving music videos I've seen in awhile. As if I didn't love Colbie Calliat enough already, her transparency and authenticity portrayed through these lyrics and visuals make me admire her even more . I love that this video represents a common social stigma that all females struggle with. The struggle of not accepting ourselves as enough, and constantly trying to amount to the world's standards and perception of beauty. We want to be accepted. And, we not only want to look and feel beautiful but we want to be told that we're beautiful.

Today's society has totally warped our minds and our thought life. There are a lot of us who are consumed with trying to attain something that we are not, something that we were never made to be and that can be overwhelming and exhausting. Each of you are made beautiful in your own way. There is no one else on this entire earth like you. No one with your smile, with your hair, your laugh and the list goes on. Embrace what makes you different, and what makes you you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made! Psalm 139: 14 says:

 Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
    I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
    you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day.

You don't have to try. Your beauty comes from the inner peace of accepting yourself, and loving yourself the way that no one else can. So stop letting society define who you are, and how you see yourself when you look into the mirror. Fiercely love yourself first, and your beauty will shine from the inside out.

Maxi Dress: Ross Dress for Less. Gold Metallic Sandals: Old Navy. Watch: Guess. Bangles: Old Navy

While the temps are at an all time high in the Carolinas, I'm dreaming of a vacay in Greece! It's on my bucket list to travel to one of the most beautiful places I've ever laid eyes on via Google images of course ha! The people, the food, the place- I want to experience everything Greece has to offer. One day! But until then, I'll just close my eyes and pretend while I stroll the town in this gorgeous turquoise Maxi. Oh my goodness, I'm in love with everything about it! Especially being that turquoise is my favorite color and for some reason I just feel like a Greek Goddess would totally wear this! By now, you guys know that touches of gold accessories are my go to. I actually found these gold metallic sandals at Old Navy a couple of weekends ago for like $7. And yes, it made my heart happy. Such a great find! The puffed sleeves give me that kind of seventies vibe, which just makes this dress an all around modern summer classic. I'll definitely be getting my fair wear out of it ;)

Neutrals & More of YOU Monday Motivation

Jumpsuit: Marshalls. Shoes: Fergie via Ross Dress for Less. Snakeskin Clutch: Target.  Necklace: Pop Up Shop (can't remember the name, sorry!) Similar: Here. Lipgloss: Maybelline New York The Elixir in Fuchsia Flourish.
Happy Monday!! I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend. I'm a firm believer that the next best thing to a cute little romper, is a FIERCE jumpsuit! This is a Marshall's #fabfind that I scored a couple of months ago, and I'm absolutely in love with how adorable this look came together. Neutrals are a great color palette to play with especially in the summer. There's nothing better than feeling light, airy and playful in a cute summer get up.The color combo of black and cream in this floral number is perfect for any summer night outing, or could easily be paired with a fitted black blazer for work.

Here's to a new day and a new week to live life! Live according to your own standards, and not according to the standards of others. This is something that I'm still learning, even as a 25 year old. We're all learning in this thing called life. Shine with purpose today, because there is purpose for your life. Be bold in what sets you apart from others, because there is no one like YOU!;) Here are some of my favorite quotes that I've been keeping top of mind. Hope you enjoy!

Maxi Dress: Target. Blush Pink Motto Jacket: Thrift Find. Emerald Green Heels: Jessica Simpson

I can always count on Jessica Simpson for the cutest, most stylish and colorful pair of heels anytime of the year! These Emeraldish green heels were a New Years Eve outfit purchase, and I've been rocking them ever since then. They are the perfect shade for spring, so I'm sure I'll be getting my wear out of them and you'll be seeing them a lot on the blog! lol Although some mornings have still been chilly, the weather is finally starting to consistently warm up. Maxi dresses are my go to for spring/summer outings with friends or perfect for a day in corporate America. Me and funky patterns are best friends. I love them. Of course, this cute little number is from Target! This dress is one of many pieces that I've snatched up from their Spring line. This blush pink motto jacket, which I also styled here is perfect for those chilly mornings, and completes the look with a little bit of a flirtatious edge. How do you guys feel about patterned maxi's?

Shine On

Dress: Marshalls. Simliar- Here. Necklace: The Loft. Shoes: Off Broadway Jessica Simpson Julez

Instead of sticking to spring pastels this Easter, I decided to go with something a little bit more bolder and brighter! I spotted this metallic number in Marshalls (surprise, surprise!) and had to give it a try. It fits like a glove, and the length is absolutely perfect. Picking out the perfect Easter dress is a tradition that I'll continue for myself and my children, when I have them, a long long time from now! lol I can't seem to keep my eyes off all things metallic and chrome, everywhere I turn I see a new piece that I want to add to my wardrobe. Like these bronze strappy sandals with turquoise accent from Aldo shoes and these pretty pink pumps from JustFab shoes. I just can't get enough! What do you guys think of the spring metallic trend? How would you rock metallic pieces?

Florals & Fringe!

The weather has been so crazy here this year. Last Sunday, it was 70 degrees, and then temps went down again Tuesday and the high was only 40. Can we please get some consistency?! lol. This has been the strangest winter/spring? ever. I don't even know what season we're in. But, its supposed to get back up in the 70's this weekend. I'm praying, wishing and hoping that the warm weather is here to stay...FOR GOOD.

With spring right around the corner *fingers crossed*, I'm really excited to be rocking florals. I haven't ever been much of a flowery print type of girl, but the trend is quickly growing on me! Especially after purchasing this floral print kimono with fringe. You can easily pair floral print with bright solid hues, or can even attempt to pattern mix if you're brave enough!

Kimonos and sweater shrugs can effortlessly be dressed up or down. Because I work in corporate America, I like to have the versatility and option of doing both which makes for more ways I can style an outfit. The fringe detail gives the look a little bit of a softer, flirty edge. I paired it with this electric blue midi skirt I got from Forever 21 on Black Friday. Only $5! So I snagged it in this electric blue as well as a deep, burgundy wine color.
Foral Print Kimono: Marshalls. Electric Blue Midi Skirt: Forever 21. Red, chunky necklace: Francescas. Black Pumps: Target- Sam & Libby Dahlia Spiked Heel.
I love the comfort and length of the midi skirt! The midi gives you that perfectly fitted silhouette and is also appropriate in length making it a piece that you could get away with in corporate America or for any event where you need to be dressed with class. I've been getting great wear out of my Sam & Libby Dahlia Spiked Heels! They are my absolute favorite little black pump right now. You can check them out here
This will only be the beginning of my floral print Spring collection and I can't wait to add more fun pieces! How do you feel about florals? Will you be rocking them this spring?

5 min.Quick & Easy Beauty Routine

Today I'm letting you in on a little on of my secrets! A 5 min quick and easy beauty routine, yes those do exist! LOL.  This is for all those on-the-go mommies or for those college students with an 8 am class who just want a few extra minutes to sleep in. I remember those days all too well! This is my go to for the days when I'm just out running errands and want to look natural but more of a put together natural, and not an "I just rolled out of bed" natural.

  • Primer: I use NYX Photo-Loving Primer. The job of your primer is to prepare your palette (making your skin a smooth surface for the makeup you will be applying) and to ensure that your makeup stays on for the most part of your day. You don't need a lot, a little dab the size of a dime will be just enough to cover your face completely.
  • Concealer: I use the Smashbox Full Coverage Camera ready concealer, which is a little more expensive. This concealer is great! I've had my fair share of trying concealers and the Smashbox brand covers up all my dark spots and blemishes so effortlessly and easy. It's in a roll on tube therefore it goes on really light, and I don't need a ton to cover up those little areas that I have on my face. This is important as it doesn't clump up like other liquid concealer brands, and it doesn't dry your face out. Concealer is much like foundation and should match closely to your skin tone. If not, its okay to go a little bit darker.
  • BB Cream: I use the Pacifica BB cream which I've shared reviews on here. BB Creams are basically a tinted moisturizer which protect, soothe and prime your skin. I love that they aren't heavy like some foundations. Most of the time I forget that I even have anything on! You really have to experiment with different brands, until you find your perfect match. Most BB creams are made to blend well with the skin, and are able to provide you with that clean, finished look which evens out your skin tone
  • All- Over Color Stick: The ELF brand All-Over Color Stick is just a sheer stick which can brighten up those areas of your face that still look asleep after you've done your Morning skin care routine. For me, that's usually my eyes. So, after applying my primer, concealer and BB Cream, I'll roll the Color Stick underneath my eyes kind of on my cheek bones because they are so high lol for a little extra awakening!
  • Blush: Blushes give you that extra pop of color to bring your skin and cheeks all the way to life. I stick with lighter peachier shades, but blush tones fluctuate according to your skin tone. This is the NYX blush color Pinched
  • Bronzer:I don't find it necessary to spend a ton on bronzer. You can buy prestige brand bronzers but the cheaper brands like Rimmel work just as well. I just like to have that extra shimmer and natural skin glow to enhance and finish off my natural look. I use the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer
  • Mascara: I've always been a huge fan of CoverGirl products and I love all of their mascaras. But, CoverGirl Lash Blast is ALWAYS my go to! It doesn't clump, and it really lengthens and accentuates the lashes that I don't have lol.
  • Eyeliner: I used NYX Pure White Eye Liner in this look to open up my eyes. I have smaller, almond shaped eyes so I apply the eyeliner in the inner part of my eyes to give the illusion that they are bigger than what they really are. It works wonders!
  • Lipstick: At first thought, you might think that lipstick is a far cry from "natural" and you may want to go with a more nude natural shade. By all means go for it! But I love the way a bold lip can give you that extra umph and can just make all the difference when you running on E, and you just want a little pick me up! This is NYX Butter Lipstick color "Hunk."
Voila! Excuse my messy bun! But, here is the finished look. 5 min! Quick and easy!

I know this post is really lengthy, but I just wanted to be extensive as possible in describing the products and how they work for me! Most products can be found at your local Target or Ulta beauty. Hope you guys can incorporate this into your every day routine!
