Weekend Wanders

One of my New Year's Resolutions, if you will, is to get out more and attend more social events in Charlotte. I can be a homebody 50% of the time but also love trying and doing new, exciting things. Charlotte is home, I've basically grown up here and still sometimes find myself getting lost uptown or depending on my GPS to get me back home which is sad I know. So, I plan on going to more sporting events ( I love sports-I cheered 3 out of the 4 years in college), trying new restaurants, brewery hopping, art festivals, and more as the months start to warm up. I can't wait to share all of my fun adventures with you!

This past weekend, I had a sleepover with a really close girlfriend of mine- yes, grown women still have sleepovers :) We were able to catch up on life, laugh, eat delicious food and watch movies in our sweatpants. It was amazing and just what I needed. Saturday evening I met a friend for Thai food- Thai food is my absolute favorite. Sunday, the weather was a little chilly but absolutely gorgeous. The whole day my heart was filled with so much joy and love as a reflected on everything Jesus has done for me. And, even if he doesn't do anything else for me- He already has done more than enough by sending his one and only son to die on the cross for my sins, and yours! Oh, what amazing love. When you truly reflect and think on how big Christ love is for us, you have no reason but to SMILE. His joy and his love are contagious. Here are a couple of photos from my weekend and lost flies from the week. You can follow along with me on Instagram (@beautiqued). Happy Monday dolls!

You guys know of my love for crossbodies. This Kate Spade cross body is one of my favorite Christmas gifts that I got this year. Amelie's Lavender a la Limonade is my absolute favorite. It's so fresh, and light for a beautiful park day.

I keep it casual 100% of the time on the weekends unless I'm going out on the town with friends. Converse are my go tos :)  Comfy chic.

My best friend made us smoothies on Saturday morning! She gave me the recipe, and its super easy. I'll definitely be adding this to my smoothie que.

I mentioned before that I'm planning my second fashion show here in Charlotte this summer. It will be June 20th at the Harvey B. Gantt Center in uptown Charlotte. I'm excited to work and collaborate with local businesses and boutiques for my runway looks.

Last week was health and wellness week at Belk. Everyone in the office was encouraged to wear their athletic wear on Thursday. Fitness and health is a huge part of my every day life, and I'm proud to be apart of a company who is so invested in the health of it's employees. I broke out my favorite Nike jogging pants that day. It took me no time to get ready that morning! And of course, COFFEE. duh.

xoxo,
Shauntel
