More of YOU Mondays: God is There.

Happy Monday everyone! I can't believe that we are at the end of July. The summer has flown by! I've been super busy as of lately, just trying to stay on top of everything. I started another new job at the beginning of June at Belk's Corporate headquarters here in Charlotte,NC and it's actually something I've been wanting to do for some time now. It's a new, and exciting step in my career and I'm just so thankful. This was a complete answer to many prayers. Everything happened in such perfect timing. Like the kind of impeccable timing that isn't even explainable, you just know it's a God thing. Gosh, I love the Lord. I love his faithfulness, his diligence in remaining a constant source of strength, and his comfort that calms my soul when I feel like my whole world is falling apart.
We've all been in those stand still moments where it seems like everything in life is going wrong. Those moments when nothing seems to be going our way and we feel knocked down and defeated. I'm sure if we had the choice we would choose to fast-forward through all of those wrenching moments, and never look back. But, I'm glad that I serve a God who doesn't let us fast-forward. A God that uses those circumstances and moments in time to shape and grow our faith in Him. He uses those instances in our lives to bring us back to the heart of Him so that we can surrender what we thought was ours, and give it back to Him. We own nothing in this life. Everything given to us is a result of a gracious, merciful, and beautiful Father who seeks to fill our desires and meet us in and at every need.
"Though weeping my endure for the night, joy comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5. So, for anyone feeling broken, defeated, and tired of disappointment just know that God has not forgotten about you! He is there. He is walking beside you in the trials and tribulations. Cling to him and let Him use you in this season even if you don't understand why. Know that these trials are molding you and shaping you to be more like Him! Whether it's humbling you, softening your heart, or making you more bold to proclaim His name...it's all for a purpose. Wait on Him. He will make his purposes and ways known to you in time. Right now, just trust the process and rest in Him.

xoxo,
Shauntel
